The 2nd Shanghai International Nature Conservation Festival, to be held from October 22-29, 2016, is an international popular science event with the theme ‘Nature Conservation’.

　　The specific subject of this year’s event is ‘Human and Nature’, advocating ‘Recording, Experiencing, Decoding and Protecting Nature’.

　　In addition to the launching and closing ceremonies, there will be nine themed activities: Celebrity Forum, Me and Nature — themed activity for teenagers, My Natural Treasure Chest — themed activity at science education sites, I Love Nature — tour experience activity, The Natural World inside/outside of the Screen — presentations of films/TV programs, Harmonious Coexistence between Human and Nature — a themed photo exhibition, Memories of the Green Color — a contest of photos taken by mobile phones, The Green City of Shanghai — local citizen’s cycling relays, and Eco City — green practices.
